Money Skills Resource File
A collection of 100 activity pages derived from three popular
Attainment curricula: Money Skills/Adapting Math Curriculum,
Stepping Out, and Life Skill Math. Each activity is designed to be
photocopied or printed from the accompanying PDF documents (included
on a Win/Mac CD).
The activity pages help students who are struggling with money
skills. Content is written at a third-grade level or less, but the
presentation is age neutral and therefore appropriate for older
students. The activities can be used sequentially or individually
based on student needs.
Activities include:
Identifying and Counting Coins and Dollars uses actual-size
cardboard coins and reduced-size dollars in match-to-sample,
identification and counting exact amount exercises.
Banking and Budget Forms includes activities such as writing
checks, completing deposit and withdrawal slips and balancing a
checkbook. Budget activities focus on preparing for outings or
weekly planning.
Calculating Prices includes activities focusing on the actual
cost of items that include shipping, tax and discounts.
