Goal 1: Student will increase awareness of the names of over 100 common objects by engaging in the open-ended "Discover Names" activity. Objective #1: Given a realistic scene, student will spend ___ minutes on-task exploring the open-ended "Discover Names" activity. Select "Object Names" from the Title Screen. Select "Discover" from the Activity Menu. Choose a scene from the Scene Menu. Choose "All" from the Object Menu. Select an interface from the Parameters Menu. Objective #2: Student will select at least ___ different objects while exploring the "Discover Names" activity. Objective #3: Given a realistic scene, student will select each of the objects, one at a time, to hear its name auditorily presented. Objectives #4-8: Repeat objectives #1-#3 for the five remaining scenes. Goal 2: Student will increase awareness of the descriptions of over 100 common objects by engaging in the open-ended "Discover Functions/Descriptions" activity. Objective #1: Given a realistic scene, student will spend ___ minutes on-task exploring the open-ended "Discover Functions/Descriptions" activity. Select "Object Functions/Descriptions" from the Title Screen. Select "Discover" from the Activity Menu. Choose a scene from the Scene Menu. Choose "All" from the Object Menu. Select an interface from the Parameters Menu. Objective #2:Student will select at least ___ different objects while exploring the "Discover Functions/ Descriptions" activity. Objective #3: Given a realistic scene, student will select each of the objects, one at a time, to hear its function auditorily presented. Objective #4-8: Repeat objectives #1-#3 for the five remaining scenes. Goal 3: Student will demonstrate understanding of the names of over 100 common objects by engaging in the "Identify Names" activity. Objective #1: Given a realistic scene, student will correctly respond to auditory prompts (with visual cuing) to select 10 target objects according to their names. Select "Object Names" from the Title Screen. Select "Identify" from the Activity Menu. Choose a scene from the Scene Menu. Choose 10 of the larger objects from the Object Menu. Select an interface from the Parameters Menu. Cuing should be on.Objective #2: Given a realistic scene, student will correctly respond to auditory prompts (without visual cuing) to select 10 target objects according to their names. Set parameters the same as for Objective #1, but turn Cuing off. Objective #3: Student will improve fine motor and visual perception skills by selecting increasingly smaller objects. Select "Object Names" from the Title Screen. Select "Identify" from the Activity Menu. Choose a scene from the Scene Menu. Choose 10 of the smaller objects from the Object Menu. Select an interface from the Parameters Menu. Cuing should be on.Objective #4: Given a realistic scene, student will correctly respond to auditory prompts (with visual cuing) to select each target object according to its name. Select "Object Names" from the Title Screen. Select "Identify" from the Activity Menu. Choose a scene from the Scene Menu. Choose "All" from the Object Menu. Select an interface from the Parameters Menu. Cuing should be on.Objective #5: Given a realistic scene, student will correctly respond to auditory prompts (without visual cuing) to select each target object according to its name. Set parameters the same as for Objective #4, but turn Cuing off. Objectives #6-#10: Repeat Objectives #1-#5 for the remaining five scenes. Goal 4: Student will demonstrate understanding of the functions/descriptions of over 100 objects by engaging in the "Identify Functions/Descriptions" activity. Objective #1: Given a realistic scene, student will correctly respond to auditory prompts (with visual cuing) to select 10 larger target objects according to their functions/descriptions. Select "Object Functions/Descriptions" from the Title Screen. Select "Identify" from the Activity Menu. Choose a scene from the Scene Menu. Choose 10 of the larger objects from the Object Menu. Select an interface from the Parameters Menu. Cuing should be on.Objective #2: Given a realistic scene, student will correctly respond to auditory prompts (without visual cuing) to select 10 target objects according to their functions/descriptions. Set parameters the same as for Objective #1, but turn Cuing off. Objective #3: Given a realistic scene, student will correctly respond to auditory prompts (with visual cuing) to select each target object according to its function/description. Select "Object Functions/Descriptions" from the Title Screen. Select "Identify" from the Activity Menu. Choose a scene from the Scene Menu. Choose "All" from the Object Menu. Select an interface from the Parameters Menu. Cuing should be on.Objective #4: Given a realistic scene, student will correctly respond to auditory prompts (without visual cuing) to select each target object according to its function/description. Set parameters the same as for Objective #3, but turn Cuing off. Objectives #5-#9: Repeat Objectives #1-#4 for the remaining five scenes Goal 5: Student will be able to verbalize (or sign) the name of each scene (e.g. bedroom, doctor's office, cafeteria), identify each object in the scene, and give a description of each object. To conduct these activities, use the print-outs of the scenes found in Appendix C of your manual. Objective #1: When asked "Where is this?" student will verbalize (or sign) the name of the scene. Objective #2: When asked "What's this?" student will verbalize (or sign) the name of each object in the scene. Objective #3: When asked "What's this for?" student will verbalize (or sign) the description of each object in the scene. |
