Talking Series Package
The Talking Series is designed to build expressive language and
augmentative communication skills. They complement
First Words,
First Words II, and
First Verbs by developing the active
use of the nouns and verbs trained in those programs. Press a word,
phrase, or picture on the monitor screen to make your computer
speak. Corresponding pictures appear on the monitor screen. For more
theoretical and instructional information about the program view the

monograph.

4 Different Activities Available
1. Interactive Communication
This activity offers 2 options:
a. Single Touch Activation
The computer says each word as it is selected.
b. Sequenced Activation
The computer speaks only after a phrase or sentence has been
completed.
In both cases the computer add articles and verb inflections so that
your child only hears grammatically correct phrases.
2. Picture Matching
A picture appears on the monitor and the user is asked to find one
that matches it.
3. Picture Identification
The computer asks the user to find a word and he or she must select
the corresponding picture.
4. Nouns by Category
5 nouns from the same category appear on the screen and the user
is asked to find them on the picture template. (Not available on
Talking Verbs.)

Talking Nouns
With this program, the user selects words, phrases and pictures
to make the computer speak. Talking Nouns I uses 50 early
development nouns to help your student learn to form sentences.

Talking Verbs
With this program, your student is given the opportunity to
expressively use 40 early developing verbs. When your student
selects a verb, an animated picture showing the verb action appears
on the screen.
