files and more using Reader! Screen Reader has been
developed to help PC users of all capabilities create, read, view,
scan and check text. Perfect for a range of literacy skills, early
learners to learning disorders or even ESL with the one touch to
Spanish. Have English text read aloud in Spanish, or Spanish text
read aloud in English! Reader uses RealSpeak Solo
voices to provide listening comfort. Also, available in standard and
Reader with Scanning versions, the software is closely integrated
with Microsoft applications - with particular emphasis on Word and
Internet Explorer. Screen Reader adds powerful speech features which
allow you to listen to any information depicted on your computer
screen. It also has many easy ways to make the text more clear and
visible. It will read back menus, button texts and tool tips, as
well as any text written on the screen. Available also as Screen
Reader with scanning which has the added function of scan. This will
read any text that was scanned from optical character recognition
from a paper file using a standard scanning device or an electronic
pdf file. Screen Reader is a simple tool bar that will work with any
application or software program which can be locked in one place or
left to float on top of any application

Features:
Play and Stop: Press the green play button to have the text read
back to you by sentence, word, or character.
Font: The font button allows you to quickly change the font of a
whole Microsoft Word document in one simple click. In one mouse
stroke change the text color, or background color of your document
(no highlighting necessary)!
Spacing: No more having to search through complicated menus to
change your documents spacing! With simple clicks of your
Screen Reader tool bar you can change character spacing,
line spacing or even paragraph spacing in seconds!
Homophones: Homophones are words that sound alike but are
different in spelling For example, a pair of homophones is blew and
blue. Click anywhere within the paragraph of text, then click the
homophone button Any homophones in that paragraph will be
highlighted. Select all text and have Reader check the entire
document for possible spelling errors due to homophones. A 5000
image dictionary helps visualize the difference in meanings between
the commonly misspelled words which will display when using the
Check function
Check: Screen Reader has an integrated spell checker,
thesaurus and a separate homophone dictionary all in one! Have Tool
Factory Screen reader read the dictionary options aloud for further
clarification!
Predict: Screen Reader uses a base prediction
dictionary consisting of the most frequently used words in the
English language. The prediction list will automatically appear by
your cursor during typing (if this function is selected only)
There is also a feature to train the word predictor, it adopts to the type
of documents you produce, it learns as you type!
Calculator: Screen Reader will read the numbers
and functions of the Microsoft calculator
Settings: Easily manipulate the settings of all functions in this
simple settings menu
Decide the size of the icons that you would
like to view, change menu languages or choose between voice options
and manipulate the speed and volume of those options
Select which icons on the tool bar you would like to view, or edit the homophone
dictionary to add your own commonly mistaken homophones.
Scan: (Screen Reader Plus only) Enables paper
documents as well as electronic pdf files to be scanned into
Microsoft Word and for that text to be read by Tool Factory Screen
Reader Plus.
The one touch button to Spanish allows Reader to read English text
in Spanish and vice versa!
