This unit does require wiring. Model LTW is a wireless doorbell transmitter that comes with the wireless doorbell that you place outside your door and the transmitter that plugs into an electrical outlet and allows you to plug your lamp into that. The lamp will flash and will also transmit to other Simplicity receivers in the house.
