The signs feature international symbols and illustrations that make
learning easy for visual learners or those with limited or no reading
skills. Durable color magnets are divided into two categories.

Activity Guide
that describes the following game options:
Game
Students write their names on the magnetic board, and then select
survival signs magnets that have been placed face down. When they
identify a sign correctly, the magnet is placed under their name on the
board.
Community
In turn, students select magnets from a face-down group and place them
on the magnetic board. They then have to describe one place in the
community where they see the signs (picnic area, school, street, etc.).
Alphabetizing
Using either the indoor or outdoor signs, have two students as a team
place all 40 magnetic survival signs in alphabetical order.
Q & A
Place one magnetic survival sign on the board. Instruct students to ask
questions about the sign by raising their hands.
Art
Students place one or more magnets on the board, and then draw with dry
erase markers (not included) scenes that relate to the signs. For
example, the Fire Station magnet might be accompanied by a drawing of a
fire engine.
Story
Students take turn selecting one magnet. Each has a few minutes to make
up a story about the sign. Have them place their magnets on the board
one at a time and tell their stories aloud.
