Go to Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, and remove all existing mouse or keyboard drivers, except for touchpad drivers. Skipping this step may result in driver conflict and improper operation. 2. Connect the VerticalMouse to a USB port directly on the computer. Windows will automatically setup the VerticalMouse for basic functionality. 3. Click the link below and click Open to download the optional Evoluent driver for programming the buttons. 4. Double click setup.exe to install. 5. When the warning message about driver testing pops up, click "Continue anyway". 6. Double click the E icon on the taskbar to program the buttons and adjust the pointer speed. For Vista, 32 bit - READ THIS FIRST 1. Go to Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, and remove all existing mouse or keyboard drivers, except for touchpad drivers. Skipping this step may result in driver conflict and improper operation. 2. Leave your original mouse connected and use it to control the pointer during VerticalMouse installation. 3. Connect the VerticalMouse to another USB port directly on the computer. 4. When the Add Hardware Wizard pops up, select "No, not this time." 5. Select install "From a list or specific location." 6. Select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install." 7. Select "HID-Compliant Mouse". If there are several similar choices, select the one that says exactly "HID-Compliant Mouse". The VerticalMouse will now function. 8. Click the link below and click Open to download the optional Evoluent driver for programming the buttons. 9. Double click setup.exe to install. 10. When the warning message about driver testing pops up, click Continue Anyway. 11. Double click the E icon on the taskbar to program the buttons and adjust the pointer speed. Drivers for other operating systems No other drivers are supplied, but the VerticalMouse works in most other operating systems with default system support.
