Program Design
This unique program combines an elementary behavior curriculum
with reproducible activity sheets, role-plays, and games for
reinforcement. Features a fold-out game board and game pieces
for 5 different games. Also includes adaptations for nonreaders.
Unit Design
Each unit addresses common classroom behavioral issues along
with management strategies for reinforcing positive behavior.
Two sets of cards are included for use with the game board and
components. Unit titles: Taking Time to Think: Dealing with
Impulsive Behavior; Choosing to Learn: Increasing Motivation and
On-Task Behavior; Choosing What to Say: Dealing with Tattling,
Complaining, and Being Rude; Choosing to Follow Directions:
Increasing Compliant Behavior; and Choosing to Keep My Cool:
Dealing with Aggressive Behavior.
Additional Features
"Quick Tips for Teachers" sheets offer suggestions for handling
specific behaviors. Discussion questions, simple role-plays, and
a variety of activities allow students to participate,
regardless of reading ability and learning style. Activity
sheets encourage students to participate in their own behavior
management.
