The World War I Archive is an invaluable resource for
students and teachers of history. The huge database contains photographs,
letters, audio interviews, cartoons, posters, and many original documents.
Much of this material was in fact supplied by war veterans and their
families. The three sections of the CD-ROM; Chronology of War, Aspects of
War, and Personal Perspectives look closely at people, events, and important
topics related to the war. A website link gives students access to
additional resources from websites around the world. All material in this
phenomenal program can be easily accessed through on-screen indexes. The
Odyssey Scrapbook lets students save selected files for future
viewing, and allows students to build presentations.
