Switch on Travel Special education, Win/Mac, switch accessible Teachers can change the level of the activity to meet the needs of each student. Switch On titles can be operated with a mouse, the spacebar, a switch or a touch screen. They have 4 basic activities: picture-building, picture matching, reaction timing (press a switch when the picture appears) and speech recognition (respond to a spoken prompt). These programs are appropriate for students with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities. Switch on Travel is designed to develop awareness of cause and effect using pictures of vehicles. It has exciting animation and sound, and includes picture building, matching, reaction timing and picture recognition using speech. Screens include bus, airplane, motorcycle, police car, ambulance, fire engine, and helicopter. The level of difficulty can be changed to meet the needs of a range of students.
