Switch on Zoo Special education, Win Switch on Zoo develops awareness of cause and effect, using zoo animals as a theme. Students practice picture matching, making choices, and matching pictures to a spoken word. Activities include picture building, matching, reaction timing, and picture recognition using speech. Screens such as elephant, lion, penguins, parrot, monkey, and sea lion will capture students' attention. The level of difficulty can be changed to meet the needs of a range of students. The Switch On Series offers exciting opportunities to practice early language skills, switch training, visual discrimination, cause and effect , and response timing. Teachers can change the level of the activity to meet the needs of each student. Switch On titles can be operated with a mouse, the Spacebar, a switch or a touch screen. They have 4 basic activities: picture-building, picture matching, reaction timing (press a switch when the picture appears) and speech recognition (respond to a spoken prompt). These programs are appropriate for students with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities.
